In reality, this is Barbados’s National Museum, where you can learn all about the island going back thousands of years; not just the 388 years since the English settled what was, at that time, an abandoned Island.
Occupying what was formerly the ‘Soldier’s Prison’ at the Garrison, the Museum has been in operation since 1933.
The Museum currently has eight exhibits on view throughout the complex:
Warmington Gallery
Military Gallery
Aall Gallery
Children’s Gallery
African Gallery
Jubilee Gallery
Cunard Gallery
Harewood Gallery
Opening times: Monday to Saturday 9a.m. to 5p.m. Sundays 2p.m. to 6p.m.
